Railroad access

Whether you come from east or west, the most popular railway is the Tokaido Shinkansen Line. All Nozomi, Hikari and Kodama Shinkansen trains stop at Nagoya. From the Kansai region, you can save on your train fare by using the Kintetsu Express Urban Liner, though it takes a bit longer than the Shinkansen (bullet train). You can come to Nagoya from Toyama, Kanazawa or other places in the Hokuriku Region conveniently without any transfer connections.
